Day II. Entering Data

  1. Put data of one or more variables into a spreadsheet form using SPSS.

  2. Import/ Export data from and to SPSS from other database applications.

  3. Operations on Data Sets.

  4. Modify existing data of one or more variables using SPSS; add, cut, move, or change data.

  5. create cross-tabulation tables in SPSS for further study of two or more variables.

Day III. Statistical Measurement

  1. Level of significance, p-value.

  2. Tesing of hypothesis of one variable and more than one variables, analyse and explain the results.

  3. A simple crosstabulation; obtaining the chi-square; obtaining t-test; adding a contol variable.

 

Day IV. Adding Labels and Missing values codes

  1. Adding variable labels, entering value labels for a numeric variables, treating data values as missing information.

  2. Missing values for a numeric variables. 

 

Day V. Displaying SPSS Data File Information, Marking Text

  1. Displaying variables definition in the data editor, obtaining definition information on specific variables.

Day VI. Modifying Data Values

  1. Recoding values into the same variables, recoding values into a new variable.

  2. Computing new values, listing data values.

 

 

Day VII. Multiple Response Variables

  1. Defining a multiple response set (Dichotomous Items)
