This is the Canadian Section of the Annotated List of Online CME.  This list is not yet complete. I will add additional sites as time allows.
All Canadian Online CME offering MainPro-M1credit includes an online group discussion format. You must participate in these discussions as well as go though the didactic material to earn credit.

This course provides an avenue to deal with issues surrounding death and dying. The course uses a variety of educational techniques including small group problem-based learning, case-based teaching and distance learning. The modules can be adapted to teaching styles based on regional concerns and cultural factors. As an accredited national continuing education program, the education program will be tailored to the needs of both family physicians and specialists.

The three courses presently offered are: Management of Mild to Moderate Asthma; Insights into Hypertension; and Issues in Oral Contraception. Each course involves 2-3 cases. You are required to answer specific questions arising from these cases. It takes about 2-3 weeks to complete a course. In total it takes about 3 hours over 2-3 weeks. The courses are facilitated by a family physician; there is also a subject matter expert available for specialist advice when needed.

MDcme.ca is produced by a consortium of seven Canadian medical universities. The primary emphasis is to help rural MDs maintain medical competence. Courses offer credit for US physicians as well as those in Canada. Current courses include: Emergency Medicine: Case Studies; Introduction to Assessment and Management of Dementia; Introduction to Telehealth; Management of Whiplash and Back Injuries; Years of Our Lives: The Osteoporosis Continuum. Courses are offered in specific time periods and involve interaction with other students and an instructor.
